What is Master Device? What is Sub-Device/ Slave Device
What is a Master Device?
A Master Device is the primary device that holds the main subscription for a service. It is the central unit that manages access, controls functionality and determines the validity period of the IPTV service. The subscription for the IPTV service is primarily linked to the master device, and additional devices (sub-devices) depend on it for access.
What is a Sub-Device (or Slave Device)?
A Sub-Device (or Slave Device) is an additional device linked to the Master Device. It uses a separate sub-device subscription code to access the IPTV service. While sub-devices typically have the same functionality as the master device—such as access to live channels and VOD—their operation may have some limitations. For example, sub-devices might not support Cloud PVR or may require the same IP address as the master device to function simultaneously.
Quick Guide to Understanding the Master Device and Sub-Device:
- Install the Plus APK on Device A.
- Install the Sub-Device APK on Device B.
- After activating the Plus subscription code on Device A, enter the same Plus subscription code on Device B and bind it to Device A. (Note: The Plus subscription code usually consists of 12 digits followed by a lowercase letter.)
- Device A becomes the Master Device, and Device B becomes the Sub-Device (Slave Device).
